The Amazon rainforest stretches from the eastern flanks of the Andes across much of tropical South America. For quantity and diversity of flora and fauna, the Peruvian Amazon - covering almost 50% of its territory - is one of the most important tropical wilderness regions on Earth. In the southeast lies one of the world’s most extensive tracts of tropical reserve; a region comprising the Tambopata Reserve and Bahuaja Sonene and Manu National Parks. This region alone boasts 1,300 bird species, 200 mammal species and 15,000 species of flowering plant. Our range of programmes, centred on Tambopata & Manu (south) and the Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve (north, near Iquitos), aims to suit a variety of comfort, style and budget requirements.
